The role…
As the Golf Pro Shop Manager, you’ll take charge of the daily operations of our Golf Pro Shop, leading a team that delivers outstanding service to golfers and members.
You’ll oversee retail management, staff coordination, and customer experience delivery while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the golf shop, driving range and related services. This is a hands-on leadership role.
Hours and shifts are varied over a 7-day roster based on the operational requirements of the Golf Pro Shop. Weekend and public holiday work is essential with this position.
Key responsibilities…
- Lead and manage the Pro Shop team, including rostering, mentoring and performance development.
- Deliver a high-quality customer experience across all touchpoints bookings, retail, events and guest enquiries.
- Oversee retail operations including stock control, merchandising, and presentation aligned with The Pat GC brand.
- Manage daily financials including, cash handling, invoicing, reporting and budget monitoring.
- Coordinate golf bookings, events, and corporate or social functions to maximise engagement and revenue.
- Ensure compliance with WHS, food safety, responsible service of alcohol, company policies, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with the broader West Beach Parks team to drive continuous improvement and community engagement.

About you…
You’ll be an energetic, service-oriented professional with strong leadership skills and a knack for retail and operations management. You’ll thrive in a busy environment, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on teamwork. Ideally, you have an understanding of and passion for the game of golf.
Essential criteria…
- Proven experience in golf, retail or hospitality management
- Strong business acumen with experience managing budgets, financial reporting and stock control.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for delivering memorable customer experiences.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Sound understanding of WHS standards and operational compliance.
- Current Australian driver’s licence, Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), and National Police Clearance.
